Chapter 2 'Person of the Forest, Borneo' - Proudly Sponsored by Innova Art
The name orangutan means ‘Person of the Forest’. Orangutans have lost over 80% of their forests to palm oil production in Borneo and are on the edge of extinction. John Dyer travelled to Borneo to see the orangutans and find out what pressures these ‘people’ are under. John also painted the Penan Tribe and explored their culture and knowledge.
